Stars Without Makeup...
Anybody watch this? It was like a bad car accident, you want to look away and can't. I found myself getting more and more pissed off, yet I kept watching.
What was with the whole "omg! Here she is getting her OWN groceries!" section? Is going to the grocery store some sort of violation of the celebrity code? And who in the hell would spend literally HOURS getting done up to head to the local grocery? They kept comparing the red carpet pictures with the ones of the celebs hauling food. Pulease!
These are human beings and shows like this just point out the ridiculous expectations we have of celebrities. They aren't always working. They aren't always beautiful. And for God's sake, William Shatner is in his 70's! He's allowed to have a gut and some wrinkles.
...yet I watched...it's sad.

I wanted to watch, but I couldn't make myself for the same reasons you mentioned. If I were famous for whatever reason, I'd be pissed that I couldn't leave the house w/out a camera catching my every move. We all know the stars are airbrushed to death when they're on magazine covers or photo speads, and have been covered in makeup from head to toe when on the red carpet....so shows like that are really playing on a lot of people's stupidity. Glad to hear some of us actually realize these people are human too.
